The entirety of this beautiful spring day was spent working in the garden. We planted a beautiful sand cherry tree and we planted a yellow rose bush; a tribute to my dear sister, Muriel.
I knelt on the earth and also on the hard concrete garden steps to hammer into the ground the fertilizer spikes for all the cedars.
I watched the bright sunlight sparkling in the water as it sprayed from the garden hose to water all the plants; the peonies, the hostas and a host of other flowering plants and bushes.
It was a glorious day. And the world did not end.
