Reawakening

Another review of REAWAKENING:
" Let me first wipe my droplets of moisture from my eyes. Some shed from sadness of a love so strong and true, that never seems to be a " togetherness of two the way I would hope. Then some shed for the amazing job Austin did in making me laugh at the craziness of our "human" lives.

"Reawakening" is a story I could not give anything less than 5 stars too. It is a love story, mixed with sci-fi, also mixed with drama and the comedy that sneaks up if you have the ability to laugh at oneself. Would I go as far as calling this book a romance...no I cannot! It is a book of love, true love, something many think they know, but will realize if by this story very few may actually have it right. A love on earth were age, appearance were not important to the two involved, happiness, comfort, and love was without a question in their lives. A must read for men and women.

Reawakening

Publisher's Review:

Every now and then a manuscript comes across my desk that completely captivates me. Austin has reached inside the human heart and removed all boundaries pertaining to everlasting love . . . and her ability to play with... the English language successfully is astounding.

Austin's Reawakening is a must-read. It will take you into a land not far from your heart and bring you back to earth again - believing that all things are possible with love and hope.

Crabapple Court

Susie Donnelly is missing. Is it a kidnapping? A murder? Has she run away or is she just a little girl playing hide and seek?

Without exception the residents of Crabapple Court do not like to draw attention to themselves or to their homes.... They do not like publicity. They do not appreciate media attention but this day, whether they like it or not, the Fairmont residents are keeping them under strict scrutiny. Indeed the eyes of the entire country are fixed upon them.

Ellen and The Hummingtree

Continuing with the free books for your summer reading enjoyment, Ellen and The Hummingtree is FREE today on all Amazon sites. Check out my author's page at http://www.amazon.com/author/audreyaustin

Ellen is a woman I came to know well during the writing of my third novel Ellen and The Hummingtree. She often puzzled me yet she also had the ability to make me laugh and cry. I grew to love her. And the more I came to know her I began to realize that she truly is a composite of the many caring spiritual women I have known throughout my life.

Alzheimer is a dreadful disease and Ellen's victimization is a heartbreak. My writing of Ellen and The Hummingtree comes straight from the heart. I hope you will love her as I do.

Ellen and The Hummingtree is available in both Kindle and Paperback Editions.

Crabapple Court's first review ...

I'm thrilled to share the first review received on Crabapple Court. Thank you, Eleanor. Cover design is by Susan Ruby Krupp at http://yuneekpix.com/

WOW!! That was quite a story, I couldn't put it down until I finished. At first I thought it was her grandad, than I thought the maids boyfriend. You did an exceptional great work and as usual you never cease to amaze me. Hope you make many sales. It was interesting, exciting and well written, and could not put it down until I had finished. An excellent read for anyone who enjoys reading, :-)

A rainy day

And the earth is renewed with the avalanche of raindrops skipping and jumping upon the patio stones before descending into the welcoming arms of the thirsty earth.   I see the twirling, bouncing green branches of the Maples, Oaks and Willows outlined by never-ending grey sky.  I welcome the rain as I watch it pour over  all that needs sustenance and cleansing.

This is a day to stay indoors; to look inward and be grateful.

FREE Kindle Books

Throughout much of this summer I have been offering many of my short stories, novellas or novels free of charge on Amazon sites for your reading enjoyment.

I hope you are enjoying the reading as much as I have enjoyed the writing.

I guess it is debatable as to whether or not offering "Freebies" increases sales figures in the long run.   I don't know if it does or does not.  This is not my motivation for offering the free stories.

Primarily I like to offer these "Freebies" because I hope it encourages people to enjoy their summer reading.

Weather-wise this has been so far a very unusual and unpredictable summer in Elliot Lake.  Temperatures have dropped quite low most nights making for very comfortable sleeping without need of an air conditioner.

Today it is a blue skies warm day; another Gratitude Friday.   I am grateful for much in my life; grateful to readers who let me know they enjoy my books; grateful for the writing hiatus I am enjoying knowing autumn will soon be here and I will get back to work.

The working title of my next writing project is "All Them Houses".   I think I have reached the point in my life's journey where it is time to attempt to write my memoir.  Whether it will be published or not is an unknown to me at this point.  For now it is a maybe.

Before then I will be entering for the second time the Three Day Novel Competition.  I plan to try my hand at a light romance  -- a change of pace from the often heavier social issues focus which is found in the majority of my books.

I am undecided as to whether or not I will hold a launch for my latest novella titled Crabapple Court.  It is available now on all Amazon sites and I hope you will enjoy the read.

For anyone interested I have some copies of my books on hand here at home.  Email me,  audrey@persona.ca,  if you live in Elliot Lake and wish to purchase a copy of one or more of my books.

I hope you will enjoy my short stories, novellas and novels.  They are found on all Amazon sites.  My author's page is at http://www.amazon.com/author/audreyaustin

My beautiful Ki is enjoying the good weather, the trips to the dog park and the lazy afternoons on the backyard deck.

I hope you are enjoying your summer.  I know I am in spite of a disappointment or two.  Life goes on and that is always a good thing.

Thank you for your continued encouragement and support which is always appreciated.  :-)

No Stone Unturned ....

Continuing with my offer of free summer reading today's short story is titled "No Stone Unturned".

This is a short story for animal lovers. Fear reigns in Dudleyville. All the animals turned to their leader King Dudley for guidance. This is a story for the young at heart aged six to sixty -- there is a lesson to be learned.

"No Stone Unturned" was written in loving memory of my beautiful Jack Russell Terrier, Dudley. I remember him always with love and admiration.

This Kindle short story is available on all Amazon sites.

My author's page is found at http://www.amazon.com/author/audreyaustin

In the photo below my beautiful Jack Russell Terrier, Dudley, is a very old man.   He made his way to the Rainbow Bridge when he was almost 17 years old.   He lives in my heart forever until we meet again.
