The Man On The Bench - a short story

The Man On The Bench is a metaphysical delight. She sees the old man on the bench as she walks with her dog through the park just as she does every morning rain or shine. What is it that causes her to change her walking route this morning? What is it that draws her to approach him? What is it that causes her dog to behave the way he does? 

This fictional short story may leave the reader with a tear in the eye and a smile in the heart.
