I'm appreciating the rain this morning; somehow it matches my thoughts on the passing of His Holiness, Pope Francis; one who had a genuine caring for people, for peace, and for loving one another. His sincerity, like the rain, fell freely on the hearts and minds of all people.
I've read the last message of Pope Francis and the following quotation from his message gives me hope that good will triumph over the evil of greed and lies that are too predominant in our world as we know it today.
"Love has triumphed over hatred, light over darkness and truth over falsehood. Forgiveness has triumphed over revenge. Evil has not disappeared from history; it will remain until the end, but it no longer has the upper hand; it no longer has power over those who accept the grace of this day."
I'm loving the sound of the rain as it splashes against my window. I hope the rain of tears of the many who mourn the passing of Pope Francis will help to wash away the negativity and hatred that is running rampant in the minds of too many.
"Love has triumphed over hatred" and I keep the faith and the hope that love will triumph over these dark times we are experiencing.
