 "I had no one to share my good news.  I just wore it like a robe and let myself shine a little brighter.  That night Lucinda noticed a change in me.  "What you be so happy about, Michael?" she asked.

 "Freedom, Lucinda.  I am happy about freedom."

 "What freedom you talking about?"

 I couldn't bring myself to tell her.  I could not risk losing the only woman in the world that I loved.  I just smiled and said, "I will tell you soon, Lucinda; real soon!"
