DR. WILLIAM HENRY DRUMMOND POETRY CONTEST WINNERS LIST 2011Spring Pulse Poetry Festival proudly hosted for the fourth year this national poetry contest. Helping keep alive the memory of Dr. Drummond the 19th century’s most popular and successful poet. Congratulations to all winners of the 2011 Drummond Poetry Contest. We had 149 entries from all across Canada. Our judge Bianca Lakoseljac from Toronto received just the poems and found it most challenging. Here is an excerpt of an email. “. “I’ve taken on the impossible task. We have 149 poems, and we could easily give away that many prizes. The poems are so good, sooo good...This is definitely is the year of poetry!!!”
Normally we only award 8 honourable mentions but have included one more plus 12 judges’ choices. Listed below are the winning titles and poets.
