STRUGGLE - To Reach the Bridge of Light

 

With 78,696 words written, the second rewrite of STRUGGLE - To Reach the Bridge of Light is complete.  

The chosen seven, earthlings of diverse culture and ancestry, stand together atop the mountain. From where they gather, they can view the old brown boat in the water below.

Their journey has been long but it is far from over.  

They have learned that "the seed of violence can reap only a harvest of desolation and that from the parched clay can grow no living thing." - Gospel of Peace, Book two.

Still, as they travel, they have much more to learn.

Today I begin the third, and possibly the final, rewrite before beginning the challenge of formating and making the pages ready for publication.

74,639 words later, the first re-write of STRUGGLE - To Reach the Bridge of Light
is complete.  Carley, Maria, Emily, Joseph, Bernard, Connie, and John, have just ended the most magical, mystical, emotional, and spiritual experience of their lives.

Thankfully, I was usually able to keep up with the characters, and they all took me along for the ride.

Tomorrow, being Sunday, I will relax and prepare myself to get back to work on Monday to begin the final re-write before I start the task of formatting.

STRUGGLE - To Reach the Bridge of Light is a metaphysical/spiritual/science-fiction novel in which the motley crew of seven reach for the stars and, thanks to a lot of help along the way, manage to find their way home once again.

It is my hope that this story will be ready for publication early spring of 2021, if not before.

As a practitioner of yoga and meditation, Keeping It Simple: Imagine Being 

Whole by Audrey Austin intrigued me.

 Austin explores and explains each of the chakras in easy to understand terms

 complete with exercises to get the reader in touch with the individual chakras. 

She simplifies the mysticism surrounding the chakras and gives the reader a 

sense of the power of paying attention to one's chakras as well as the 

role each chakra plays in balancing one's energy and therefore one's life.

First draft of STRUGGLE - To Reach the Bridge of Light is complete

 I'm happy to say that STRUGGLE, To Reach The Bridge of Light, has now reached a word total of 61,575 words. The first draft is complete. Now I begin the joy and the hard work of transforming this first draft into a work of fiction that I hope my readers will want to read.

From Google, I quote. "What does let there be light mean?

The phrase comes from the third verse of the Book of Genesis. In the King James Bible, it reads, in context: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. ... And God said, Let there be light: and there was light."

The seven human characters have come alive in STRUGGLE while the three mystical beings make their power known. The seven humans do struggle, and they search, and they each do see the light. And they begin their journey to reach the bridge of light.

STRUGGLE To Reach The Bridge of Light is a spiritual/science fiction. I'm not sure if there is such a genre, but if there wasn't, there soon will be.

What a great way to spend these days of isolation.
